Hi! I’m Mads! 

My clay journey began nearly three years ago when I moved from Seattle to Portland, took a few classes, made some great friends, and wound up sharing a garage studio with another clay enthusiast. We learned by doing—fumbling, experimenting, and falling in love with the process. Now, I’m thrilled to create at Pursuit Studios alongside April and an incredible community of ceramicists.

I’m an instructor who hands you the tools, shows you what’s possible, and then lets your creativity lead. I believe everyone can make something they’re proud of, and I’m here to cheer you on, answer questions, and help you problem-solve along the way. Come curious and leave with confidence, skills, and pieces that reflect your unique style.
