Nerikomi is a technique that involves layering, slicing, and assembling colored clays to create intricate patterns that run through the entire piece. This workshop will feature a Nerikomi demo and hands-on work time. Participants will leave with a basic understanding of the Nerikomi technique. Option to take home your project or leave at Pursuits for bisque firing and clear glaze application.
**This is an Intermediate level workshop. Participants should have a basic skill of clay wedging and slab rolling.**
Jiaxi is a Jiaotai/Nerikomi potter based in Portland, Oregon. She moved to the U.S. in 2024 with her family, and is now a full-time potter.
